Waterwandeling met gids

Het eiland van Dordrecht gaat al vanaf haar ontstaan de strijd aan met het water. Vandaag de dag staat de stad nog steeds voor grote uitdagingen. Wandel mee door het 'Venetië van het noorden'.

Zelfs inwoners van Dordrecht kunnen nog iets opsteken van de interessante verhalen tijdens deze Waterwandeling. Loop mee om te kijken hoe de waterloop in en rondom Dordrecht is ontstaan, waar je in de historische binnenstad je nog steeds kans hebt op natte voeten en ontdek vergeten vloedstenen en een brug waarvan je niet wist dat het brug was.

Je staat er niet bij stil

Die prachtige monumenten langs de Dordtse havens lijken heel vanzelfsprekend. Maar hoe renoveer je eigenlijk een pand dat met de fundering in het water staat? En hoe voorkom je dat het water in je huis, winkel of kantoor stroomt? Waarom zijn een deel van de historische panden in de binnenstad pas rond 1990 op de riolering aangesloten? Je hoort en ziet het allemaal tijdens de Waterwandeling.

Wandel met Hallo Dordrecht

De Waterwandeling is ruim 5 kilometer lang en duurt zo'n twee uur. Goed om te weten: hoewel de route grotendeels vlak is, moet u wel een keer een trap af van een stuk of zes treden en ook twee keer een schuin, wat hellend stuk van een brug op en af.

Aanmelden kan in de kalender hieronder. De prijs voor een themawandeling is 7,50 per persoon voor een groep van maximaal 12 personen. Grotere groepen zijn natuurlijk ook welkom, neem dan contact op voor een prijs op maat.

You don't give it a second thought

It seems obvious, those beautiful monuments along the ports of Dordrecht. But how do you actually renovate a building under water? And how do you prevent the water from flooding into your house, shop or office? Why were some of the historic houses in Dordrecht not connected to the sewer system until around 1990? You can hear and see it all during the Water City Walk.

Walk with Hallo Dordrecht

The Water City Walk is over 5 kilometres long and takes almost two hours. Good to know: although the route is mostly flat, you have to go down a staircase of about six steps (a solid one, but even so) and also two times up and down an little slanting part of a bridge.
